President William Ruto says all injured children will receive the highest level of medical care in the country.
Kenya's President William Ruto has declared three days of mourning following the death of 17 schoolchildren in a dormitory fire and has promised to answer "difficult questions" on how the tragedy occurred.
The pre-dawn fire at Hillside Endarasha Primary in Nyeri county also seriously burned 13 others, police said Friday.
Many of the victims were burnt beyond recognition, witnesses added.
The mourning period will run from Monday September 9, 2024 to Wednesday September 11, 2024.
