The country's GDP per capita will reach to $18,000 in 2026, Turkish trade minister says.

Türkiye's GDP to reach $1.6T this year: minister

Speaking at the Türkiye–Azerbaijan–Georgia Business Forum in Tsinandali, Trade Minister Ömer Bolat projected Türkiye’s GDP will climb to $1.6 trillion by 2026, marking a dramatic expansion over the past two decades.

He noted that per capita income is expected to reach $18,000 this year, reflecting sustained economic growth and structural transformation since the early 2000s.

Bolat described the Caucasus as a geostrategic hub where cultures converge and major transport and energy corridors intersect. He stressed the shared responsibility of governments to remove bureaucratic barriers and facilitate stronger business-to-business cooperation.

The minister also expressed confidence in expanding joint ventures in logistics, aviation, digital technologies, and AI — sectors seen as key drivers of future growth.
