Türkiye and Niger Deepen Economic Partnership Through High-Level Trade and Investment Talks

Economic relations between Türkiye and Niger gained further momentum following a series of high-level meetings held in Ankara. Turkish Deputy Minister of Trade Mustafa Tuzcu held bilateral talks with Niger’s Minister of Trade and Industry Abdoulaye Seydou before joining the Türkiye–Niger Roundtable Meeting organized by the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK).

The event brought together ministers responsible for energy, mining, infrastructure, agriculture, and health from Niger, alongside Turkish business leaders and investors. Participants reviewed the growing economic partnership between the two countries, which has accelerated through recent diplomatic engagements and official visits.

Discussions focused on increasing bilateral trade volumes, encouraging new investments, and strengthening cooperation in strategic sectors. Energy development, mining projects, infrastructure construction, agricultural modernization, healthcare services, and contracting opportunities were highlighted as key areas for future collaboration.

Turkish officials emphasized that Niger’s strong economic potential and ambitious development agenda create significant opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships. Representatives from the Turkish private sector expressed readiness to contribute expertise, technology, and investment to support Niger’s long-term economic transformation.
