Israel's genocide of Palestinians in Gaza rages on

Eight Palestinians, including a child, were killed and other people in Israeli attacks across Gaza amid Israel’s daily violations of last year’s ceasefire, medics said.

Medics at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, told Anadolu that five Palestinians were killed in an air strike in Al Mawasi, west of the city.

Later, Gaza’s interior ministry said the five people killed in the strike were identified as police officers.

Locals said that the strike hit near schools for children, causing panic among them.

Deliberate attacks

Since the start of Israel’s genocide in Gaza, it has repeatedly targeted police personnel and infrastructure in Gaza, in what Palestinian authorities say is weakening public order institutions and undermining civilian infrastructure.

In the months following the October 2025 ceasefire, the attacks have continued with a series of strikes hitting police vehicles, checkpoints and patrol units.

Palestinian authorities in the enclave have said Israel has killed nearly 3000 police officers since the start of the genocide in October 2023, and the attacks on police are part of a broader pattern that has persisted despite the truce

The Palestinian resistance group Hamas has accused Israel of targeting police officers trying to maintain public security and stability in Gaza.

Hamas says the attacks represent a continuation of the Israeli brutal crimes against Palestinians in Gaza and an attempt to create chaos by targeting civilian police forces.

Another attack

In a separate attack, a medical source at al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City said three Palestinians, including a child, were killed in an Israeli air strike on al-Thawra Street.

The source added that six other Palestinians sustained injuries of varying severity.

Local sources said that an Israeli drone targeted a gathering of civilians on al-Thawra Street.

The ongoing ceasefire violations have killed 1,580 Palestinians and wounded 5,711 people since October 10, 2025, according to figures from Gaza's health ministry.

Since October 2023, Israeli genocide in Gaza has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians and wounded over 175,000 people, figures from the ministry showed.

Israeli genocide has also destroyed around 90 percent of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure.
