Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan welcomed Niger President Abdourahamane Tchiani in Ankara for official talks, cooperation agreements, and bilateral meetings.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan welcomed Niger President Abdourahamane Tchiani with an official ceremony at the Presidential Complex in Ankara on Thursday.
The ceremony included military honors, the national anthems of both countries, and a 21-gun salute. Following the reception, the two leaders introduced their delegations and posed for official photographs.
Erdoğan and Tchiani are scheduled to hold bilateral talks focusing on political, economic, energy, defense, trade, and regional cooperation. Delegation-level meetings are also expected to take place during the visit.
Several cooperation agreements are anticipated to be signed after the meetings, followed by a joint press conference. President Erdoğan is also expected to host an official dinner in honor of the Nigerien leader.
The visit highlights the growing partnership between Türkiye and Niger and reflects both countries’ commitment to strengthening diplomatic and economic ties.
