Türkiye and Niger agreed to strengthen economic cooperation through the establishment of a Joint Economic and Trade Commission aimed at boosting trade and investment ties.
ANKARA — Turkish and Nigerien officials held talks on expanding bilateral trade and investment relations during a meeting attended by Niger’s Minister of Trade and Industry, Abdoulaye Seydou.
The meeting, which also included Türkiye’s Minister of Industry and Technology, Mehmet Fatih Kacır, focused on identifying priority sectors for cooperation and improving the legal framework necessary to support growing economic relations between the two countries.
Both sides discussed potential investment opportunities and development projects in Niger, expressing their commitment to advancing mutually beneficial partnerships.
Officials announced plans to sign a joint declaration establishing a Joint Economic and Trade Commission between the two ministries. The new mechanism is expected to increase bilateral contacts and facilitate trade and investment cooperation based on a win-win approach.
The initiative reflects the growing economic partnership between Türkiye and Niger and highlights efforts to expand commercial engagement across key sectors.
