Türkiye and Bangladesh Deepen Cultural Cooperation Through New Heritage Agreement

Türkiye and Bangladesh have strengthened their bilateral relations through a new agreement aimed at preserving cultural heritage and expanding cooperation in the field of cultural diplomacy. During his official visit to Dhaka, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with Bangladesh Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman and later signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the Protection of Cultural Assets with Bangladesh's Minister of Cultural Affairs, Nitai Roy Chowdhury.

The agreement focuses on protecting historical artifacts, promoting cultural heritage preservation projects, supporting academic research, and encouraging exchanges between experts from both countries. It also seeks to facilitate cooperation between museums, cultural institutions, and heritage conservation organizations.

Analysts view the agreement as part of Türkiye's broader effort to expand its diplomatic outreach across Asia through cultural engagement.
