Talks to focus on supply chains, energy, and economic cooperation
Lee Jae Myung has begun a two-country visit to India and Vietnam, with discussions expected to center on supply chain stability and energy concerns linked to global tensions.
In the first stop, Lee will meet Narendra Modi in New Delhi. Their talks are expected to cover cooperation in areas such as shipbuilding, maritime industries, artificial intelligence, and defense, as well as ways to handle disruptions in global energy supply chains.
Lee will also attend a business forum in India aimed at strengthening economic ties and supporting South Korean companies operating there.
The second leg of the trip will take him to Hanoi, where he will meet To Lam and other leaders, including Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.
Discussions in Vietnam will focus on cooperation in energy supply chains and critical minerals—key sectors for future economic growth and stability.
The visit highlights growing regional cooperation in Asia, especially as countries respond to uncertainties in global markets caused by ongoing geopolitical conflicts.
