Istanbul Airport Tops Europe in Flight Traffic

According to the latest report by EUROCONTROL, Istanbul Airport was the busiest airport in Europe between April 6–12.

During this period, Istanbul Airport handled an average of 1,472 flights per day, placing it firmly at the top of the list. This highlights its growing importance as a major global travel hub connecting Europe, Asia, and beyond.

It was followed by other major European airports, including:

• Amsterdam Schiphol Airport with 1,346 daily flights

• Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport with 1,335 flights

• London Heathrow Airport with 1,290 flights

• Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Barajas Airport with 1,246 flights

The ranking shows how air travel demand remains strong across Europe, with Istanbul leading the way in connectivity and traffic.
