Legal action targets FedEx for alleged complicity in war crimes linked to arms transport
The Union juive française pour la paix has filed a legal complaint in Paris against unnamed parties, including FedEx, alleging complicity in serious international crimes related to the conflict in Gaza. The case was submitted to the French National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office and is based on accusations of involvement in war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide.
According to the complaint, the French subsidiary of the logistics group is accused of facilitating the transport of key components used in combat aircraft, allegedly shipped from the United States to Israel via France. The claims are partly based on a report by the collective “Urgence Palestine,” which cites over 100 shipments transiting through Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle Airport over several months.
The plaintiffs argue that the company could not have been unaware of the nature of the cargo. However, FedEx has firmly denied the allegations, stating that it does not handle international shipments of weapons or ammunition.
The case highlights growing scrutiny of corporate responsibility in conflict zones and raises broader legal and ethical questions about the role of global logistics networks in sensitive geopolitical contexts.
