U.S. Approves $95M Border Security Sale to Tunisia

The United States Department of State has approved a possible $95 million sale of equipment to Tunisia to support the country’s Border Security Project Phase III.

According to the announcement, the deal is intended to improve Tunisia’s ability to monitor and protect its borders, strengthening its long-term defense capacity and helping it maintain control over its territory.

The equipment will mainly support surveillance and security operations along border areas, which are often challenging to monitor due to geography and cross-border movement.

Two companies are listed as main contractors: L3Harris Technologies and Toyota (with operations referenced in the U.S. context). They are expected to supply the systems and tools involved in the project.
