Niger’s President Abdourahamane Tchiani visited ROKETSAN facilities in Ankara, where discussions focused on defense cooperation and strategic partnership opportunities.

President of the Republic of Niger, General Abdourahamane Tchiani, and his delegation visited ROKETSAN facilities during their official visit to Türkiye.
The delegation received detailed briefings on Türkiye’s indigenous defense technologies, production capabilities, research and development activities, and long-term vision for the defense industry.
The visit also provided an opportunity to discuss ways to strengthen existing defense cooperation between Türkiye and Niger. Officials highlighted the importance of expanding collaboration in areas that support security, technological development, and regional stability.
President of Defense Industries Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün stated that closer cooperation between the two countries would contribute to Niger’s security needs while further strengthening the longstanding partnership between Türkiye and Niger.
The visit concluded with both sides expressing their commitment to enhancing strategic cooperation and exploring future opportunities in the defense sector.
