The visiting Sudanese leader was accorded a welcoming ceremony by President Erdogan at the Presidential Complex before they proceeded to a closed-door meeting.
According to the Turkish Presidency, discussions focused on relations between Türkiye and Sudan, as well as broader regional issues.
President Erdogan reaffirmed Türkiye's commitment to peace restoration efforts in Sudan, where a devastating civil war has claimed the lives of thousands of people since its outbreak in mid-April 2023.
Cross-sector cooperation
President Erdogan also emphasised Ankara's dedication to strengthening cooperation with Khartoum across a range of sectors, including trade, agriculture, energy, and defence.
The high-level meeting was also attended by Ibrahim Kalin, the head of Türkiye's National Intelligence Organization (MİT).
