Türkiye and Niger continue to strengthen their partnership in the healthcare sector following a high-level meeting held at the Presidential Complex in Ankara.

During the meeting with Niger’s Minister of Public Health and Hygiene, Dr. Colonel Garba Hakimi, officials reviewed ongoing cooperation projects, particularly the activities carried out at the Niger–Türkiye Friendship Hospital. Discussions also focused on healthcare workforce training, medical capacity-building initiatives, and the exchange of expertise between the two countries.
The talks highlighted the growing importance of health diplomacy within the broader framework of Türkiye–Niger relations. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to expanding collaboration in healthcare services, professional training programs, and institutional development.
Officials emphasized that joint efforts in the health sector contribute not only to improving medical services but also to strengthening human capital and healthcare infrastructure in Niger.
Under the leadership of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the vision of the “Healthy Türkiye Century,” Türkiye continues to enhance its international healthcare partnerships while sharing its expertise with friendly and partner nations.
The meeting is expected to further reinforce the strategic relationship between Türkiye and Niger, which has expanded significantly in recent years across sectors including healthcare, education, trade, energy, and development cooperation.
