Brusivka Village Reported Taken

Russia Claims Capture in Donetsk

Russia’s Defense Ministry announced Saturday that its forces captured the village of Brusivka in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region, located about 14 kilometers northeast of Sloviansk. The city remains one of Ukraine’s last strongholds in the east, alongside Kramatorsk.

Ukraine’s General Staff reported nine Russian assaults near five settlements on the Lyman front, including the town of Lyman, situated just north of Brusivka. Ukrainian authorities have not confirmed Russia’s claim, and independent verification remains difficult amid the ongoing war, now in its fifth year.
