Life Sentences for Crocus City Hall Attackers

A court in Russia has sentenced four men to life in prison for carrying out the deadly 2024 terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall near Moscow.

According to the Second Western District Military Court, the attackers—Shamsidin Fariduni, Dalerjon Mirzoev, Muhammadsobir Faizov, and Saidakrami Rachabalizoda—were found guilty of organizing and carrying out the attack.

In March 2024, the gunmen stormed the concert venue located in Krasnogorsk and opened fire on civilians attending a music event. The attack killed 149 people and injured more than 600 others, many of whom suffered gunshot wounds or burns.

Authorities said 19 people in total are on trial, including 15 others accused of helping the attackers by providing support or assistance.

The Crocus City Hall attack is considered one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in Russia in recent years, prompting tighter security measures across the country.
