Helicopter Crash Claims Seven Lives

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani exchanged condolences in a phone call following a deadly helicopter crash at the Qatar-Turkish Combined Joint Force Command.

The crash, caused by a technical malfunction during training, occurred Friday evening when a Qatari Armed Forces helicopter went down in the sea. Seven people were killed: four Qatari Armed Forces personnel, one Turkish Armed Forces member, and two technicians from ASELSAN defense corporation.

During the call, Sheikh Tamim thanked Erdogan for his efforts to stop the regional war and emphasized that teams from both countries would remain in constant dialogue. The leaders also discussed recent regional developments, reaffirming their commitment to cooperation and stability.
