Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called for stronger defence cooperation among NATO allies during a phone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron.
The leaders discussed bilateral ties and ongoing conflicts affecting regional and global stability.
Erdogan stressed that the current security environment requires closer coordination within NATO and faster progress on joint defence industry initiatives.
He also voiced concern over rising civilian casualties linked to the conflict in Iran, saying Türkiye is actively working to promote diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions and restarting negotiations.
