Drone attack in Luhansk and strikes in Dnipro highlight ongoing violence and conflicting claims
Authorities in the Russian-controlled Luhansk region say a Ukrainian drone attack killed three people and injured three others. The strike reportedly happened in a village where young people were gathered outside a house. Among the victims were two 18-year-old men and a 28-year-old woman, while teenagers and a young adult were wounded.
At the same time, Ukrainian officials reported rising casualties from Russian strikes in Dnipro. The death toll increased to nine after a wounded 24-year-old man died in hospital. Local authorities said the attacks targeted the city the previous evening.
Meanwhile, Ukraine’s military claimed it carried out overnight strikes on targets inside Russia, including an oil refinery and air defense systems. These actions are part of ongoing exchanges between both sides as the conflict continues to escalate.
Because the war is ongoing, it is difficult to independently verify all the claims made by either side. Still, the reports show that civilians continue to be affected, with casualties rising on both sides.
