President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Türkiye will continue strengthening ties with African nations based on mutual respect, equal partnership, and shared benefits.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Nigerien President Abdourahamane Tchiani held a joint press conference following official talks in Ankara.
Speaking at the event, President Erdoğan emphasized Türkiye’s commitment to deepening relations with African countries through equal partnership, mutual respect, and a win-win approach.
He also highlighted the importance of security cooperation across the continent, particularly in the Sahel region, which continues to face challenges posed by terrorist organizations and instability.
“We will continue to develop our relations with African countries on the basis of equal partnership, mutual respect, and win-win principles,” Erdoğan said. He added that Türkiye stands alongside its friendly and brotherly partners in the fight against terrorism affecting the Sahel region.
The remarks come as Türkiye expands diplomatic, economic, and security cooperation with African nations, including Niger.
