Belgian Hospitals Hit by Cyberattack

Several Belgian hospitals have temporarily taken their online patient portals offline following a cyberattack on Dutch software provider ChipSoft, which supplies electronic health record systems.

The disruption affects Hospital aan de Stroom in Antwerp, Hospital Oost-Limburg, and Delta Hospital in Roeselare, according to Le Soir. Hospital officials stressed that internal systems and daily operations remain unaffected, and there is no evidence patient data has been compromised.

Access to digital services and patient records has been suspended as a precaution. Healthcare services continue normally, with only limited disruption expected.
