Twenty-two people have been killed, while 24 are reported to have sustained injuries on Saturday in a road accident in Angola.
A tragic road accident in Angola has left 22 people dead and 24 others injured. The crash happened in Munenga municipality in Cuanza Sul Province when a bus carrying 56 passengers reportedly experienced brake failure. The vehicle lost control, veered off the road, and overturned.
João Lourenço, Angola’s president, expressed sorrow over the tragedy and paid tribute to those who lost their lives. He said the government would work to identify the causes of the accident and improve safety to prevent similar incidents.
The president also sent his wishes for a speedy recovery to those injured, while authorities continue responding to the aftermath of the crash.
